A Legacy of
Harmony
From a single music teacher's mission in Kosovo to a global movement transforming lives through music.
Born from compassion in 1999, the Foundation began when music teacher Liz Shropshire answered the call of the humanitarian crisis in Kosovo.
Pictures of ethnic cleansing in Kosovo—refugee camps, burned out homes, mourning women, and traumatized children—prompted Liz to undertake a brave project.
Drawing on her twenty years' experience in music and education, she developed an innovative children’s music program in refugee camps and bombed-out schools.
